Luggage, Resilience, & Sales!! {LM Weekly Update}

Hi Reader,

It's been a few weeks, but we're home. We started our trek back from Edinburgh (a few days spent after our trip to Ireland) last Saturday night. A short flight to London and a night in the hotel before 3 flights home.

In reality, it was a straightforward trip home, but the 1-hour delay on our last flight from Seattle may have sent our emotional functioning past the point of no return.

But. The real question....did we have any luggage mishaps?! No!!!

I thought we handled the no luggage thing decently well last year, but even a year later, my husband and I were still commenting (yes, more than once), how nice it was to have all our things. All our toiletries, plenty of clothes, a change of shoes (just one though). It's the little things that maybe aren't so little.

It's rather interesting what we accept as "fine" in the face of difficulty (however serious). I think it shows the strength and resilience we all have as humans. At the same time, however, how often do we accept a situation as "fine" when we deserve more.

I know we deserved our luggage last year (at least, I hope so), but the same really is true for work, relationships, happiness levels, etc. So here's to hoping you always know that you deserve the best (happiness, luggage, and great skincare alike).

xo,

Luci

A Few Things...

~ Beautycounter just launched clean fragrance and I'm a bit obsessed. I haven't worn perfume in years because my body always had some sort of allergic reaction. I've been using these rollerballs now, however, with no reaction whatsoever. I have sample to share (cute, sustainable scent cards). Let me know what scents you like here and I"ll get you all taken care of!

~ On the topic of Beautycounter, there's free shipping over $50 that ends today! And there's a great 30% off if you're a Band of beauty member. Join here!

Hi Reader, My husband and I quote a lot of movies - dumb movies and great movies. Kid movies and classic movies. One of our most quoted? "The last melon" from Ice Age. The animals encounter a colony of Dodo birds prepping for the Ice Age. They have one female, who sadly meets her demise, and 3 watermelons to last them "underground for a billion, billion years." Pretty soon they're down to the last melon....and then no more melons (or Dodo birds for that matter). So with that silly mindset,...

Hi Reader, The weather finally turned this week. We've had chilly mornings, some rain even (yay!) and I'm starting to look for the layers I have packed away in my winter clothes storage!! I wasn't sure I was ready for cool weather, but it feels good. I want to hang onto this early Fall for a while now!! A few fun things to share. We visited Chico, California last weekend. I grew up 20 minutes away and am back frequently, but my husband and I got to play tourist and had a lot of new...
